Terrible One

The Terrible One (aka ‘T1’) bicycle company was founded in 1998 by BMX professionals Joe Rich and Taj Mihelich. Based in Austin, Texas, it has developed into one of the most respected names in the industry, now offering a range of BMX frames and a line of clothing, plus parts such as handlebars, grips, stems and sprockets.

The original Terrible One team was Rich, Mihelich, Paul Buchanan and Robbie Morales, and together they produced the first two Terrible One frames – the ‘Barcode’ and the lighter ‘Progression’. The ‘Barcode’ is still on offer today, and signature versions have been produced for riders including Garrett Byrnes, Scott Malyon, Nate Wessel and Rich himself.
