ODYSSEY OPTIS (Odyssey Pneumatic Tire Insert System) is a lightweight, inflatable insert for tubeless MTB, gravel and road tire setups. By supporting the tire bead from inside, OPTIS helps reduce air loss from burping, improves tire stability at lower pressures and provides additional protection for the tire and rim during impacts.

Features

  • Inflatable support helps hold the tire bead securely against the rim.
  • Allows lower tire pressures for grip while helping maintain sidewall support.
  • Cushions impacts to help protect the rim and reduce pinch damage.
  • Provides limited temporary run-flat support after severe air loss, allowing the rider to stop safely; it is not intended for continued riding on a flat tire.
  • Installs in a similar way to a tube and helps the tire bead seat during inflation.
  • Available as a complete insert with the standard OPTIS dual-valve assembly, or as an insert-only replacement requiring an existing compatible OPTIS valve.

Specifications

  • System: Inflatable tubeless tire insert (not a conventional inner tube)
  • Color: Yellow
  • Wheel sizes: 27.5", 29" (MTB), or 700c (gravel/road)
  • MTB rim inner width: 30–40 mm for 27.5" and 29" versions
  • Gravel/road rim inner width: 23–28 mm for 700c
  • Maximum OPTIS insert inflation: 50 PSI (MTB) / 90 PSI (700c), while mounted, subject to the limit printed on the insert
  • Valve option: With Valve (standard-length OPTIS dual-valve assembly included) or Without Valve (replacement insert only; valve not included)

Important Safety Information

  • Never inflate an OPTIS insert above 20 PSI unless it is fully mounted on a rim inside a tire.
  • Always keep the OPTIS insert at a higher pressure than the tire, and never exceed the maximum inflation marked on the insert or tire.
  • Stop using the bicycle if the OPTIS insert is damaged. Follow the manufacturer’s installation and pressure guidelines.
