SE Bikes traces its roots to Southern California BMX culture and the early race scene. The brand grew out of SE Racing founded in 1977 by BMX pioneer Scot Breithaupt with a clear mission: keep pushing “BMX Innovations.” A defining milestone was the PK Ripper, first introduced in 1979, which became an icon of lightweight BMX performance and later returned as a retro re-release. Today, SE Bikes pairs that heritage with modern, big-wheel BMX energy through models like the Big Ripper and Big Flyer, built for cruising, street riding, and community ride-outs.
