Founded in 1966 by Paul Van Doren, James Van Doren, and partners Gordon Lee and Serge Delia, Van Doren Rubber Company sold shoes directly to the public. The brand quickly gained popularity among skaters and has remained a staple in streetwear. Today, Vans continues to offer statement sneakers that are a must-have for any wardrobe. In the mid-90s, Vans expanded into BMX and has since supported the scene with a BMX team and legendary competitions like the Vans Triple Crown. Vans now also offers its own BMX Shoe collection.
